I traveled to Varanasi, the sacred city for Hindus. Hindu people want to come there to die, and escape the cycle of reincarnation. Along the river are burning ghats, where the families bring their loved ones. Others come carrying the ashes of their relatives to bring them to the river and pray, give alms, and bathe in the holy river. Every morning people come to bathe and wash their clothing, in the same place that people are burned on pyres.
